Wandering shopping streets in centre of Caen

Most of the centre of Caen is pedestrianised which makes for very enjoyable strolling. Off the main St Pierre area is Rue Froid (which means Cold Street, but the story goes that it was not named because of the weather but the attitude of Queen Mathilde when passing from her Abbey to William's.
Today the street is famous for its milliners including Mr Chapeau (the French word for hat).
